To those of you who talk to Spirits, read runes, or shuffle cards, please trust your heart.
I got this message the other day.
“I need to follow up to tell you how fantastic your reading has been for me. I’m still unsure of so much, but the feeling I got from all of it was to try to move to more direct mentoring. I’ve got a new job at a new university and I am beyond happy every day. I now work with supportive and positive people. I teach and mentor engaged undergrads who appreciate me. And I am constantly receiving great feedback. Thank you thank you thank you for bringing me messages from my angels. You helped change my life!”
I really feel deep down that I’ve made the right move, removing readings from my shop. But then I got this, and it made me wonder. Sometimes the universe throws out little lines to us to ask us, “Are you sure? Are you sure you want to go in that direction? There’s nothing wrong with staying or going. Only…are you sure?”
Except I don’t think that’s the only reason I got this message from an old client. No. There’s a message I’ve been meaning to give to all of you for a while now, and this is the frame for it.
Here’s the thing to know: I was an okay reader. I wasn’t phenomenal. I was good. My connection to Spirit didn’t typically blow minds.
But it did change lives.
And that’s something that all of you readers out there need to realize about yourselves.Because I know that many of you think yourselves mediocre, or good, but not…like…John Edwards quality.
And the reality is you don’t have to be someone who makes every client burst into tears. You don’t have to get effusive praise from everyone you read for. In fact, you probably won’t.
But that doesn’t change the fact that you’ve changed someone’s life.
Even if you’re just okay. Like me. And if you want to blow minds, then don't give up. The more practice and energy you put into your skills the greater they'll become.
Readers, you keep doing you. As long as the spark is in your heart to do this work, you do it, and you be proud of yourselves. You hear me?
This work is valuable. Your work, and your efforts are valuable. I have so much admiration for all of you.
(By the way, though my readings are gone, I still consult Spirit to help you break through barriers. If you're a self-starter looking for spirit-centered guidance, check out my Spirited Solutions.)
