Everyone has Spirit guides. Getting to know who they are and what they're like is a wonderful thing. But, if you're not a medium, then it can seem like a daunting task. Truth is, it doesn't have to be. These suggestions are catered to those of you who don't want to explore mediumship as a skill in-depth.
There are several avenues you can take here:
Go It Alone
-Asking for Dream Visitations
I only recommend this if you’re pretty good about remembering your dreams. Simply ask that one of your guides appear in the dream, and then set the intention that you’ll meet your guide.
There are a lot of these out there. Google is your friend, so check YouTube. I'm not listing any in particular here because I haven't tried any freely available ones - and I'm not at liberty to share the one that I have used. But there are plenty out there, and I hope to offer one myself before too long.
-Oracle and Tarot cards
These are better for getting messages from your guides than they are for identifying who your guides are (in my humble opinion) but, if you have a nice deck of animal-inspired cards, there’s no reason you can’t draw one asking for your particular guide to show themselves to you. The trick here is to be open to the spectrum of animals represented by each card. For example, I might draw the “Wren” from my Druid Animal deck, but if I have always felt a really strong connection to Cardinals, then I would still take that card as validation that the Cardinal is one of my animal guides. Regular tarot cards can also be used.
Get Some Help
It is perfectly acceptable to tag an intuitive for help with identifying your spirit and animal guides. This is actually one of my specialties, and a service that I offer, but there are A LOT of psychics and psychic-mediums out there. Have a look around. Go with who you feel drawn to. The only caveat I place on this method is that I recommend getting a reading where you get MORE than just what the guide or animal is/looks like. I think the real value lies in learning how they appear to you, how they help you, what their role is in your life, and how you can work with them. If you’re going to tag someone else for help, make sure you’re getting some in-depth information!
