A wise man recently told me that I should be doing weekly readings. I scoffed a little bit.
"Like a horoscope?"
See, I've seen a bunch of people online doing this on youtube and their websites. I wasn't thrilled with it. It's not that I don't give credit to astrology. There's actually quite a bit of it that resonates with me, but in my mind, to do that with tarot, it would be too general, too watered down. I didn't want a tarot reading to come out like a horoscope in a newspaper. When I give readings in person I like to get very specific. I don't want this to be any different.
Now there are real astrologers out there giving very insightful and knowledgeable readings with the knowledge they have of the stars and the planets. But they are few and far between (correct me if I'm wrong).
I want to do a weekly "tarotscope" like they do their readings. I'm thinking of Chani Nicholas in particular. You know? There's meat there.
So I don't know that I'm quite there yet, but this is a start.
The first card drawn, on top, is the person/situation that this reading should be helpful for. The three cards below it are the guidance. I know this is going to take some tweaking, but for now I feel that the best way to proceed is by jumping in with both feet first. I am ever-wary of this being too watered down. Too stereotypical "horoscope"-y. So I'm open to suggestions and critique. I'm open to ideas. But for now, let's get to it.
Well, already I can see that I'm going to have to do the pictures differently. That's okay. Life is all about making mistakes and then fixing them! This blog is no different. Onward.
Seven of Wands. Someone who feels like they’re fighting against everything that’s going on around them. You’re just recognizing that this is an uphill kind of battle, but it hasn't broken you. If there is a situation like this in your life, then this message is for you.
Though I do feel that this is likely work related.
Two of Cups. Rumors. Innocent enough...or so it seems on the surface. Just be careful. Don’t believe what you hear, and do NOT participate.
Knight of Wands (reversed) and Six of Swords (reversed).
This is real confusing. It’s like you’re not sure whether you’re coming or going. This may not be a good time to make a big decision. Wait on it. Or wait till the waters clear, because a decision made in confusion is likely to be one that you will regret. If the situation is confusing, then YOU aren't clear on it, and the best way to make decisions is to listen to that inner voice when you are still, and calm. Deep down you always know the right answer. Don’t let that voice be lost in all of the chaos around you in this next week.
I do hope that someone out there finds this helpful. Feel free to leave me a comment below. Blessings.
